The Price of Fame

After 5 months, 15 cities, 94 shows — 67 as Little Marlon, 27 as Little Michael — and immeasurable gratitude, Jackson’s journey with the First National Tour of MJ the Musical has officially come to an end.

May 24th in St. Louis was an emotional night for many in the cast. For some, it marked the close of a chapter they’d been part of since the very beginning of the tour. Others are taking time to rest, joining new companies, or stepping into new opportunities and projects. For Jackson, however… the journey continues on Broadway.

Over these past few months, Jackson has grown tremendously not only as a performer, but as a young person navigating responsibility, discipline, friendship, travel, and opportunity in ways most adults never experience. From standing on stages across the country… to attending his very first red carpet event… to meeting legends like Rich and Tone, Broadway performers, creators, and artists he admires — this experience has stretched and inspired our entire family in ways we never expected.

As we prepare for Broadway in New York, we’re learning that this journey comes with both practical and emotional costs — from housing, travel, and schooling to helping a 13-year-old navigate such a life-changing opportunity while still protecting his joy. This newsletter is our way of bringing you behind the curtain. Thank you for being part of Jackson’s village and believing in his dream.

If you feel led to support Jackson as he steps into this next chapter, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps ease the financial demands of Broadway life and allows Jackson to continue embracing this opportunity fully. Most importantly, your support reminds him that he has a village cheering him on every step of the way.
